Abstract:
Active galactic nuclei are characterized by the prominent broad emission lines from optical to ultraviolet bands, however, their origins remain open as long-term outstanding issues. I will extensively review this well-known problem. NIR and Hbeta reverberation mapping campaigns provide strong constraints on physical conditions of ionised gas as well as black hole spins in the central regions. The growing evidence suggest a new global scenario from dusty torus, BLR to accretion disks.
